The brown palette is one palette that works for all the eyes. It blends well with all colors and enhances your eyes. Brown is best to work with if you are looking for a more natural look. It is best for those working women who want to be presentable but however do not want to go over the board with makeup.
For day wear, brown never goes wrong, it gives a very natural and soft look. When working with any shadow palette select three shades from it, in order to create depth to the eyes. For day time, try selecting more subtle colors, begin your makeup with an eye shadow primer – this will ensure that your makeup stays for longer hours and it does not crease. After applying the primer, allow it to dry and then apply the base color – this will be the lightest shade in your color palette.
For browns you can select sand, mid brown and chocolate brown – these shades range from the lightest shade to the darkest shade. When applying the base color – apply it starting from the eye lash line till the brow bone, this will create a uniform color to work with. After this apply the mid brown color, starting from the lash line till the crease of the eyes, take a blending brush and blend over the crease line as you do not want a definite line in your eye makeup.
Also, if you are looking for day makeup then the more subtle it will be and the better it will look. After the second color application, apply the third color of the palette which will be chocolate brown. Apply this over the contour of the upper lash line and slowly blend it upwards. This will create a definite depth, without over doing it. Apply brown eyeliner to it and you may apply kohl pencil over the waterline of the eyes – this will cover up the white spots on your waterline and will soften the entire appearance.
Complete the makeup by using black mascara, when working with mascara it is always best to work with a black one – as this enhances the makeup, makes your eye prominent and open. Before the mascara, use an eyelash curler – if you want an edge to those lashes, after curling up the lashes then apply two to three coats of mascara. Between the coats of application, allow the mascara to dry.
In order to lighten the makeup further, apply highlighting color over the inner corner of the eye – this can be the sand color itself. Applying an extremely light base color over the inner corner will make your eyes appear open and bright. This is a helpful tip for those girls who want their eyes to appear larger and more open. Also, when applying the eyeliner, always apply it three quarters of the eye, starting from the outer corner and always extend the eyeliner away from the eyes, this will make your eyes appear longer and will enhance your beautiful eyes.
